Studio Friday: Negative Space
I took this picture in the evening and the camera was not properly adjusted that the lights made an effect in the picture. I did not took another shot since I find it amusing. There are two mobile phones on top of the red box with aluminum locks that created the shadow lighting in the curtain. It becomes a negative space everytime my husband would put a lot of the things from the stockroom like paint, brushes, scredrivers etc. on the long table on the left. Also, during the day, especially in the summer, since the sun shines so brightly that I cannot work on pictures in the computer. My solution would be to make another curtain(gray or black) that can cover the white curtain (I hope I can make one soon!)

I really like this room being so light and serene! I think a dark curtain would be too dominant, donĀ“t you think? Maybe you could just put a blind to the window? That way, if you roll it up, you would hardly notice it. There are even special blinds with a coating on the back to shut out the sun. That way you could still choose a bright color.
I agree with Bea. A dark curtain would be out of place in this very light and peacefull room. Adding blinds to the windows would help to keep the sun out and keep the serene mood that you have created in your room. I would be a shame to spoil it, don't you think so?
hello bea and marianne. your opinion are really appreciated and being considered. i have not thought about the blinds until you have mentioned it. this is what this topic is all about isn't it? helping each other to come up with a much better idea. i like it! have a nice day and best regards!
Oh wow, great halo effect, hahaha, I love it!! :-)
Your room does look so peaveful and serene. Just perfect for coming up with all different kinds of ideas. A heavy curtain color would destroy the fine balance you got there though. How about some pastel hues?
The shelf you got there above the window, wow! Mine would probably be filled with books, hahaha!
actually, it is a long room with rows and rows of book shelves on the right side and on the left side is another window with blinds, a big freezer, a sailing clothes rack, a moving and now standing big triangle train station that my husband made and a big wooden ladder.
