Surprise me!
This weeks topic at Studio Friday: IN CASE OF CREATIVE EMERGENCY...In case of a creative dilemma when you are unsure of how to proceed, what do you do? Is there anyone special whom you can ask for advice, call and talk to or go visit? That special person that believes in you no matter how crappy you feel and how afraid and doubt filled you are. Who is there to assist you and help you? Maybe you are still looking for that someone? If so, what does your wishlist look like for him/her?
When I was in school, a relative of mine helped me and gave me inspiration to produce creative projects that I never imagined would end up in exhibition. He owned a business producing wood mold for shoes. He made the first mold for a new style and then the rest is being made by a machine. It’s like a small beautiful piece of sculpture that was behind the creations of lovely and comfortable shoes. Unfotunately, he died some years ago in another country.

For so many years now, I don’t have anyone to talk with or ask for any advice when I am lacking of active creativity. I only read a lot and visit so many art websites by artists that I truly admire, or just keep on clicking and, I would always end up finding a new interesting creative website.
There were times that I would talk about my being inconfident about my art goals etc. etc. and if there is anyone out there who happened to read it and was hesitant to leave a comment please---surprise me. I would really appreciate it! An artist helping another artist. Ohhh! What a more beautiful world we can create!

Hi Isay - I'm not an artist either, and I feel just like you, I love the challenges, but no one in real life to talk or dicuss them with....I too love looking at others websites...but for now - we all have to spport each other online here at Studio Friday!
Yes the internet is a great way to get inspiration. I also love to look through my books I have collected so far. My art treasure books!
I really think that this is one of the greatest things about blog communities. We can lean on one another for support and inspiration.
Thanks for posting, Isay!
I love this work.
Have a good wwek
