Quote of the Day

"See how nature – trees, flowers, grass – grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence….we need silence to be able to touch souls.” - Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Joe

He likes to wink! I am not sure but I think it’s typical with Irish men. He is joyful and likes to tell jokes. He laughs like Richard Dreyfuss. We became good friends since we have worked together in Riyadh. Tomorrow is his birthday(I am posting it now because I wanted to be the first to greet him and as always, I will remember him in my prayers for good health, good times and a wonderful partner in his lifetime. Cheers and hugs to you my friend.

Quote of the Day

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask oursleves, "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?" Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our prescence automatically liberates others."
-Nelson Mandela

Quote of the Day

"It is easy in the world to live after the world's opinions; it is easy in solitude to live after your own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude"

What a piece of work is a man, how noble in reason, how infinite in faculties, in form and moving how express and admirable, in action how like an angel, in apprehension how like a god. -William Shakespeare

Studio Friday: Golden Yellow & Negative Space Update

These are the golden yellows that I have. I moved them a lot so you can find them wherever I am in the house. The first one is my favorite round big cup I have bought in France, that I used for eating soups, shakes and even fruit salads especially when I am alone eating in the house. I bring them with me when I am working on something in the computer and would place it at the back table where I can easily reach it. Usually, I used them in eating while I sit in front of the television. The second one in the picture is my favorite gold yellow vase that I like so much. The third one in the picture is a plastic sunflower that makes me feel good everytime I see them. And the fourth item is a little naughty smily hanging pillow- that I always move and place in front of the computer, in the bed, in our cabinet, in the studio, in the living room, in the toilet –wherever I think my husband would be so that he will remember to give me a kiss.
I was inspired yesterday that I decided to draw an illustration of my smiley.

Updated! Remember the white curtains in my entry for negative space? My husband was given new curtains for his studio and I have found a nice curtain-still looking brand new in his studio that I can use in the studio at home, so here are the pictures. I have to take another picture for the whole view during the night because, Ii have taken this against the light, but here you can see the detail of the design.

different

I don't what is wrong because the lay out of my blog differs when you see it at Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. For example in this one, my banner is longer when you look at it at MF and it is normal in IE. When I create my posts in MF it doesn't show the finished posts right away while it is much faster in IE.

Quizzes.....

I have to do this before I rest in bed. I am not really feeling well. I came across some of the quizzes on line and here's what I've got.....Just click the bold titles for the link and enjoy-I did!
Your Inner Child Is Happy
You see life as simple, and simple is a very good thing.

You're cheerful and upbeat, taking everything as it comes.

And you decide not to worry, even when things look bad.

You figure there's just so many great things to look forward to.

I can say that when I was younger I was more aggresive and think about a lot of big things and when I grew older it has changed and became much simpler.... and when it comes to worrying, I worry a lot now more than ever than when I was younger, and I also believe that there's always so many great things to look forward to in this life.

What are the things in your heart?
You are attracted to obedience and warmth.
Obedience is a great virtue but it would also depend on the situation. I wanted to believe that I am a warm person that it makes me glad when I meet another one.

In love, you feel the most alive when your partner is patient and never willing to give up on you. I've always believe that it is a two way street but this kind of attitude is normal for me.

You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.
Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment. These four are true but the second one would also depend on the circumstances and how much I love the guy.

You think of marriage as something that will confine you. You are afraid of marriage.
Although I got married late, I don't think I was afraid of being married.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted. I suppose so.

About Me

My Photo
Name: isay

In my dream, I am dreaming like a dreamer.... everything is all about you and me and the world we live in. It is not a perfect world and it's very difficult most of the time, but we manage to reach out, even see and experience things positively most of the time. Life passes us by so quickly, and every chance we get-we try harder to make it work- because life is beautiful and so were YOU and I.
