Studio Friday: Secrets

It is really a secret and yet, I had decided to reveal it since only those who can read this will have to know about it. Well, There's a hidden camera when you enter my space. Of course, I will not tell you where I am hiding them. (LOL)
Another secret that I have kept in a box for almost 8 years now are 50 pieces of beautiful and in many different pastel colors origami hanging ornaments that was made by my chinese friend Arlyn. It was supposed to be given away on the day I should get married. Unfortunately, it was not used because we were only 6 people who celebrated our wedding day. Good thing because I was sick on my wedding day and it was only my husband and myself who knew that and, with the help of pain relievers I was able to forget it until the celebration was over. We really have plans to have another wedding after two years but it did not push through. And so, I thought I'll just use them on my big birthday party in the near future. I have kept them very well so it will still be okay, then. Or maybe who knows, I'll have another wedding day(?) celebration in the years to come.

Another thing-I have not told anyone that I have not finished reading the complete book of Hans Christian Andersen. I have already put it standing by on my night table to continue reading.

Lastly I guess I will reveal to you secrets that have made me glad last Wednesday(it was my birthday)-I have got a new picture card for my other camera that can take panoramic view and other functions.... I have also got a dozen of beautiful, big yellow tulips. And boy, I have got a new watercolor. And the big thing is a gift card from H & M. Now you all know what have made me glad despite of my sadness.

What about your secrets?

A wise camel

This has been forwarded to me some time ago.
A mother and a baby camel were lazing around, and suddenly the baby camel asked....
Baby: Mother, mother, may I ask you some questions?
Mother: Sure! Why son, is there something bothering you?
Baby: Why do camels have humps?
Mother: Well son, we are desert animals, we need the humps to store water and we are known to survive without water.
Baby: Okay, then why are our legs long and our feet rounded?
Mother: Son, obviously they are meant for walking in the desert, You know with these legs I can move around the desert better than anyone does! Said the mother proudly.
Baby: Okay, then why are our eyelashes long? Sometimes it bothers my sight.
Mother: My son, those long thick eyelashes are your protective cover. They help to protect your eyes from the desert sand and wind. Said mother camel with eyes rimming with pride....
Baby: I see. So the hump is to store water when we are in the desert, the legs are for walking through the desert and these eyelashes protect my eyes from the desert...
Then what the hell are we doing here in the Zzzoooooo!

MORAL OF THE STORY IS:
"Skills, knowledge, abilities and experiences are only useful if you are at the right place"

(Where are you right now????????)
""Quote of the day: Love your job but never fall in love with your company, because you never know when the company stops loving you!!"“
Have a nice day

Studio Friday: black and white

The first one are my handy black and white sunglasses that I used while relaxing under the sun in the garden after drawing or whatever I have done. The second image is a flower hairpin I have made out of thin black silk cloth with white pearls inside it.

The third image are my big black spiders and being covered with white curtains during the night-and have been hanging near the window to amuse little children who are snooping around. And the last one are my favorite pair of dogs(you can see the digitally manipulated and the original colors below) that are just on display because I cannot dare using and accidentally putting some stains on it-well, because they are so sweet. I could have told you the stories behind each item them but I will spare you from reading a long post this time around and also, because I am not feeling well nowadays. Lastly, it's me saying happy weekend everybody!

36 Christian ways to reduce stress

An Angel says, "Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice."
1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
5. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
7. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19. Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good "Thank youJesus."
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most.
32. Sit on your ego.
33. Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe
36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before.
GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)

Studio Friday: Eyes

This is a part of a carpet painting I have bought years ago in Riyadh. I like this painting a lot mainly because of the eyes of the lion. It seems to tell a lot of things. Another reason is that I like the animated film and album sound track of "The Lion King".

Anyway, I am tired and uninspired nowadays. My apologies for not being able to answer all your comments in my 3 blogs. I just try to visit you own site and as always, I have a nice time doing that, and leave some comments and sometimes even leaving my answer if ever you had left a question in my comment box.

Well, enjoy your weekend.

Puerto Prinsesa

Kindly click the image to enlarge. I was sorting out my things this morning and found this picture taken some years ago at a very nice restaurant in Puerto Prinsesa, Philippines. I like this picture a lot because I was wearing my favorite ernie t-shirt that was my favorite before, and now is gone.

Studio Friday: Inspiration

Congratulations Tine for Studio Friday's one year anniversary.

Where do I get my inspiration? a lot of things and, people especially the children. The other night, I was putting the hood of my jacket while walking on a long road and then I saw that the church from the other street was strikingly glowing in the dark cold night with all the lights on , and there were some people that looks like having a celebration. I stopped and thought I should take a photo and, when I was about to click the camera that two people bicycling side by side appeared. Nice picture and so I thought. Something for you to know about me. Everytime I am in a new place, I always look for a church and go inside and explore the premises, I pray and wish.

About Me

My Photo
Name: isay

In my dream, I am dreaming like a dreamer.... everything is all about you and me and the world we live in. It is not a perfect world and it's very difficult most of the time, but we manage to reach out, even see and experience things positively most of the time. Life passes us by so quickly, and every chance we get-we try harder to make it work- because life is beautiful and so were YOU and I.
